I was Peter’s date to the Interior Design Show opening night Gala – and what a great night it was! We met some interesting and talented people in the biz and enjoyed tasty treats and drinks throughout the evening.
We chatted with familiar faces at some of the booths like our friends from Scavolini Kitchens, ELTE, Antica Tiles and we got to know some new faces too. I combed through some of the exhibitors and picked out a few of my favourites:
Kevin Wiggers Furniture Designs, Ridgely Studio Works & Surface Innovation. Blanco – who specialize in beautiful handcrafted sinks, faucets – had the most clever ‘give-out’ for the ladies. They handed out premium eye shadows custom created to match their newest sink colour ‘Truffle’, and those who know me, know my love for make-up so this was a neat little treat.
One of the highlights of the evening, of course, was the Sibling Revelry, where the most creative siblings design a living space together, featuring David Dixon & Glenn Dixon, Jason Dressler & Lars Dressler, Sarah Richardson & Theo Richardson to name a few. We did see Sarah Richardson and her team and I must admit, I was a little bit star struck!
Nearing the end of the evening we past by Grand Piano House’s booth where they had the coolest pianos on display. They were lacquered and came in all sorts of colours, even pink! Peter of course couldn’t resist, he entertained a small crowd as he sat down and tickled those ivories!
