I like the idea of having a TV in the living room but I don't want the focus of the room to be my television. Do you have any suggestions on how I can hide it?

This has been a recurring design dilemma.  This photo of a one of my projects shows a clever idea of having the flat screen hidden by a large art piece, mounted on an upper sliding bracket concealed by a simple wall valance.
